The first Woodfalls Junior Band was formed in the 1930's.  It later formed the nucleus of the successful "senior" band of the 40's and 50's which went on to compete in two National Finals in London.

Later, in the mid-fifties, when the senior band was undergoing a player shortage, a Junior Band was formed by Cliff Kingshott to alleviate the situation.  This band was as successful as its predecessor and went on to win the West of England Championships in 1967 with two further appearances in 1968 and 1969.

The Woodfalls Concert Brass is the mature element of a Junior Band started by Reg Spreadbury and Ron Bligh in 1975.  The new name came about quite simply as a result of players growing up.  The band is still conducted by Ron, who remains its inspiration.

Notable successes include appearances in the National Finals as follows: 4th Section, 1989 and 3rd Section, 1991. They now compete at the upper levels of  UK Section 2.
