        ABOUT OUR BANDS

Formed in 1874, The South West Trains Woodfalls Band is an established "British Brass Band".

Woodfalls is a small village in a  rural location with less than one thousand inhabitants.  From this small community, where musical talent is in abundance, we manage a junior band and a learners group.   In addition, The Woodfalls Concert Brass exists to provide further opportunities for aspiring young brass players - it is currently graded in the UK Second Section.

Built in 1878, the band's headquarters is adjacent to the Methodist Chapel in the village of Woodfalls, 9 miles south of Salisbury, in the county of Wiltshire in England.

Since1995, the band has enjoyed the sponsorship and support of the regional railway company South West Trains, a subsidiary of StageCoach Holdings PLC.

Elsewhere on this site you will find interesting historical information, pictures, breaking news and useful links to other interesting Brass Band sites, but don't forget, come back soon!  We would like to thank you for visiting our website.
