Gender, racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, and other differences enrich the educational and social environments where individuals teach, learn, and work. Any differences among our members present the band with opportunities to cultivate mutual understanding and respect.
The Woodfalls Band will seek to encourage and develop cultural diversity in a variety of ways including:
Continuing to support all cultural organisations in the
immediate and surrounding areas, which are rich in cultural heritage.
Pursuing an active policy of raising funds to support a range of performance types, which
will be open to, and attract, cultural activity.
Forging partnerships by integrating our cultural activity with other public services. This
forms part of our marketing policy to advertise our activities to an increasing range of
culturally diverse groups, specifically through our existing school liaison programme.
In demonstrating its commitment to diversity, The Woodfalls Band will continue supporting the pluralistic community it serves, which complements its philosophy and mission.
